Biqi Capsules have the effects of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, unblocking meridians, and relieving pain. They are primarily used to treat symptoms such as joint pain and swelling caused by conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

  1. Promoting Blood Circulation and Removing Blood Stasis
Ingredients such as Angelica sinensis (Dang Gui) and Carthamus tinctorius (Hong Hua) in Biqi Capsules can promote blood circulation, improve local microcirculation disorders, and alleviate joint stiffness and pain caused by Qi and blood stasis. They are suitable for post-traumatic blood stasis and swelling or chronic strain-induced pain.
  2. Unblocking Meridians and Relieving Pain
Through the use of wind-dispelling and dampness-removing herbs like Notopterygium rhizome (Qiang Huo) and Angelica pubescens (Du Huo), this medication effectively alleviates rheumatic pain, particularly joint cold pain that worsens with exposure to cold. Common symptoms include morning stiffness and limited mobility.
  3. Anti-inflammatory and Swelling Reduction
Ingredients such as Gentiana macrophylla (Qin Jiao) and Clematis chinensis (Wei Ling Xian) can inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, reduce synovial inflammation, and thereby alleviate acute symptoms like joint redness, swelling, heat, and pain. They also help control acute episodes of rheumatoid arthritis.
  4. Improving Bone Metabolism
Drynaria rhizome (Gu Sui Bu) in the formula can promote chondrocyte proliferation, delay joint degeneration, aid in the recovery of joint function in osteoarthritis patients, and reduce the probability of joint deformities with long-term use.
  5. Regulating Immune Function
Components such as Tripterygium glycosides (Lei Gong Teng Duo Gan) can regulate T-cell function and inhibit abnormal immune responses, making them suitable for chronic joint lesions caused by autoimmune diseases such as ankylosing spondylitis.

Precautions During Use:

  • Avoid consuming raw, cold, or greasy foods while taking Biqi Capsules, and keep joints warm.
  • During acute episodes, it is recommended to combine medication with bed rest.
  • Long-term users should regularly monitor liver and kidney function.
  • Pregnant women and individuals with allergic constitutions should use with caution.
  • If adverse reactions such as rashes or nausea occur, discontinue use promptly and seek medical attention.
  • If joint symptoms persist or worsen or are accompanied by fever, tests such as anti-CCP antibodies and CRP should be conducted to determine the underlying cause.
