FUNCTION and INDICATIONS
It is used for insomnia caused by liver depression and mental injury. Symptoms: insomnia and dreaminess, depression or irritability, fullness and discomfort in chest and hypochondrium,bitter taste and dizziness, slightly reddish tongue, white or yellowish coating , pulse string.

ADVERSE REACTION
Except for very few patients with mild stomach discomfort that can relieve themselves, no adverse reactions were found. Acute toxicity test: mice were given 360g·kg-1·d-1 (more than 720 times the daily dosage of humans) for mice. The mice were generally in good condition and there was no death for 7 consecutive days. The long-term toxicity test of continuous intragastric administration to rats at 30 and 60 times the equivalent human daily dose showed that this product has no effect on blood, urine and other biochemical indicators, and has no tissue disease on important organs such as heart, liver, kidney, and brain. Physical changes, no obvious adverse reactions, no dependence and addiction.

PHARMACOLOGIC ACTION
Autonomous activity experiments in mice showed (n=20) that the high, medium, and low doses of 9.75, 3.90, and 1.95g.kg-1.d-1 of the drug can significantly inhibit the autonomous activities of mice, and The blank control group was significantly different (P0.05). Experiments in rats show that it can significantly inhibit voluntary activities. 15 days of administration, it has a significant synergistic effect on the sedative and hypnotic effects of pentobarbital sodium at the subthreshold dose of mice. The 15-min sleep rate of the blank group is 10%, and the high and medium dose groups are 75% and 60%, respectively. There was a significant difference between the comparisons (P<0.001), and the sleep rate of 10.40mL.kg-1.d-115min in the Mianping control group was 45%, indicating that the product's strength is better than the control group. Even if administered within 1 day, there was a significant synergistic effect on the sedative and hypnotic effects of pentobarbital sodium at the subthreshold dose in mice, and the high-dose group had the same intensity of action as Diazepam.
