Wenxin Granule has a certain improvement effect on symptoms such as arrhythmia and palpitations. Its main ingredients include traditional Chinese medicines such as Codonopsis pilosula, Polygonatum sibiricum, and Panax notoginseng, which have the functions of replenishing qi, nourishing yin, promoting blood circulation, and resolving blood stasis.
1. Improving Arrhythmia
Wenxin Granule can regulate the electrophysiological activity of myocardial cells and reduce the frequency of arrhythmias such as premature beats and atrial fibrillation. Clinical observations show that some patients experience relief from palpitations and chest tightness after taking it, making it particularly suitable for arrhythmias caused by qi and yin deficiency.
2. Relieving Palpitations
This medication can stabilize autonomic nerve function and reduce sympathetic nerve excitability, thereby alleviating subjective discomforts such as palpitations and rapid heartbeat.
3. Adjuvant Treatment for Coronary Heart Disease
For arrhythmias caused by myocardial ischemia in coronary heart disease, Wenxin Granule can improve myocardial microcirculation and reduce ischemia-reperfusion injury. However, it should be used in combination with Western medicines such as antiplatelet drugs.
4. Regulating Qi and Blood Deficiency
The formula includes Codonopsis pilosula to replenish heart and spleen qi, and Polygonatum sibiricum to nourish yin and blood. It helps regulate symptoms of qi and blood deficiency, such as palpitations and shortness of breath caused by prolonged fatigue and insomnia.
5. Medication Precautions
Pregnant women and patients with bradycardia should use it with caution. Heart rate changes should be monitored during medication. A small number of patients may experience gastrointestinal discomfort, and it is recommended to take it after meals to reduce irritation.
While using Wenxin Granule, avoid stimulating beverages such as strong tea and coffee. Maintain a regular routine and engage in moderate, gentle exercises like Tai Chi. If symptoms do not improve after 2–4 weeks of medication, or if adverse reactions such as dizziness or bradycardia occur, seek medical attention promptly for medication adjustment. Maintain a low-salt and low-fat diet in daily life, and consider incorporating heart-nourishing foods such as lotus seeds and red dates, but only under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner based on syndrome differentiation.
